One of our focuses is an in-depth consultative approach to our searches where we are engaged by the client company to fill a specific leadership position.  We work with our clients to understand the motivation behind the position as well as the organization’s culture.

We add our consultative process to the initiation of the search. We focus on the specific role of the candidate to make it most beneficial to the client and most attractive to the best candidates. We then transform the outline into a detailed position description. We also work with the client to help identify and communicate the reasons the candidate would be interested in this position over another. This is part of our Leadership Search Process.

Our discussion in a Search from a Candidate’s View is equally if not more relevant to the client as it is to the candidate; so it is repeated in full here. Three key benefits of our search:

  • Specialized: Many candidates and potential candidates miss out on opportunities simply because they misunderstand how a retained search is conducted. Unlike other agencies, retained searches are not about finding a quick fix for an under staffing issue or sending as many resumes as possible to the client.  Our search process is a highly-specialized search that targets the perfect candidate. It’s not about finding just anyone who can perform the job duties; it’s about finding that special person who will thrive in the leadership role and is a good organizational fit with our client.

  • Mutual Fit: For our client companies, this means we are taking extra care using our own evaluation and hiring experiences to make a wonderful fit.   • Minimized Cost: Our candidates and clients wish to minimize the time and cost associated with the new hire/partner process. Our thorough and thoughtful approach is extensive and takes time but most of that burden falls on us.

  • Onboard Client Position Needs - The detailed requirements of the leadership position are documented and confirmed.

  • Search, Screen,  & Evaluate Candidates - A primary list of candidates is compiled and evaluated; preliminary finalists are identified.

  • Review Finalists with Client - Preliminary finalists are interviewed and evaluated by the client and a finalist is agreed upon.

  • Process Finalist - An offer is extended, references are checked, the clients internal hiring processes are completed and continual follow-up takes place to ensure the sale is accomplished and a smooth transition into the new job has taken place.
